Do some research and know your skin type to avoid battling acne into adulthood. This article will give you some tips that will finally give you the upper hand in your struggle with zits.

To reduce the occurrence of pimples, apply tea tree oil on the zits prone areas. Use tea tree oil as a natural zits treatment because it doesn’t dry out your skin; depending on your skin type, it may also be able to reduce oil buildup that’s clogging your pores.

If you have pimples you must avoid scratching your face or picking at it. Turn to treatment creams instead. You can cause scarring and infection by picking zits. Your skin can become discolored for years after it has been picked at.

Don’t pick at pimples on your face, as it can make your affliction worse. Picking at your pimples only leads to more breakouts, because you promote the spreading of the bacteria. When you pick the same pimple, the skin can open up, leaving scars.

You are more prone to pimples breakouts if you sleep on dirty pillows. Take a moment to think about this. You will be rolling in this every night. To avoid continual contamination, consider using a fresh pillowcase every night.

Whenever possible, attempt to avoid situations that are apt to cause stress. Stress doesn’t necessarily lead to pimples, but it can worsen an already advanced case of pimples.

Switch to a more natural skin product if you have stubborn pimples that won’t go away. Many store-bought products contain harsh chemicals that may exasperate your skin problems. This is going to result in more zits. Natural products contain substances with antibacterial properties that can aid your skin in healing.

Garlic is a good antioxidant, and your skin will benefit from it. Garlic purges toxins from your body and helps new skin develop. You could put garlic on a bagel or toast or even make garlic juice.

Zinc is great for reducing pimples. It slows down the formation of any free radicals that are under your skin. You can treat cystic acne with a zinc supplement. You can take the supplement one time each day and treat your pimples internally rather than topically.

Did you know that using your cell phone may be responsible for your acne? Cell phones hold onto the oils that are on your face and your hair and then put them back on your face. To remove the oil from your phone, clean your phone with a cotton ball that has alcohol on it. Try and keep the contact between your face and the phone at a minimum.

Now that you know some things about how to get rid of zits, you will see improvements. For the rest of your lifetime, you can have clear and glowing skin by using these tips. Share these tips with your friends and family as they will definitely benefit anybody who deals with acne problems.
